Dear Diary, Febuary 3,1974
-The Big Holy, Wakan Tanka, what is happening to my native people? Why are they doing this to us? What did we do to deserve this? Just tell me, WHAT DID WE DO? They can't just move us out of our Mother land and force us to live elsewhere. This is OUR LAND. THIS IS OUR LAND!!
It has been exactly 2 days since the Europeans came and captured some of the Pequot Indians, including me. We were transfered from our villiges to a reservation camp in Claremont, Oklahoma. There was even young children from the ages of 10 & under captured. . . with out their loved ones. It's this one young boy who stood out most to me. His name is Liba. He has been crying non-stop since we have been captured. Its evident that he was seperated from his mother. So I, being the kind hearted woman I am, comforted him with a mother's love. He truly needed it. Oh NO, here comes a guard! I have to go now.

- I have been hearing that we are a part of one the many “Indian Removal” policies. Evidently this policy was implemented for us to “clear” OUR land for white settlers. Again I say, They cant just move us out of out mother land just for the while settlers. THIS IS OUR LAND. If I just had the power to STOP all of this, best belive I would. We have been nothing but good to the Europeans. We taught them how to plant, how to hunt for meat, what plants are medicine, just basically everything! & they betray us like this. Oh, I have also heard that many others crossed the Mississippi River under the authority of the Indian Removal Act. You know, I just cant wait until this end. . . If it ever will.

Dear Diary, April 5, 1974
- I just retrievd my journal back. I was caught by a guard & he took my dairy a threw it somewhere, but lucky me, I found it! Recently I was put into a small room to get a check-up. This check-up was very unusual and painful. They even put me to sleep, so I'm not sure of what happened. When I woke up I had pain in my lower stomach. It was unbarable. A lot of my native women had to go through this painful check-up. I truly think they did something to our bodies. These Europeans are up to something & Im going to get to the bottom of this. . . hopefuly.
